Blackheads Begone!
Our lovely beauty assistant Sandra Mariscal (whom you can see in our “How To Give Yourself a Manicure” video on Latina.com) is hyper aware of the pores on her face. Obsessive, some might say. As many of us girls are, naturally. So she was more than willing to try the new Clean & Clear Advantage Blackhead Eraser Exfoliating Cleanser ($20, mass market retailers). The battery operated device looks like a miniature barrel. It has a soft foaming pad on top, which contains ingredients like salicylic acid, cedarwood and cinnamon to smooth skin, cut through oils and kill the dirt that clogs and enlarges pores. You’re supposed to rub the pad-topped gadget over your face two to three times a week; after one use, Sandra was all raves. She loved it. I haven’t tried it yet. I’m pretty sure I’ll have to hit up a local drugstore if I ever want to. Cause she’s not givin’ it up.

Be careful w/the salicyclic acid. Very old school “Clearasil”. Can be very drying to the skin, create “dead skin roll off”, making make-up difficult to apply evenly + does not smell all that great. There is an awesome soap in a bar, very inexpensive called; “Chandrika” from India, that helps w/oiliness + blackheads sold at many health food stores………….+ it smells good + tightens your pores. Suerte!!!!!!!!!
