Sensitive Skin? Don’t Wash Off the Soap
Hello chicas! Just a quick hit for all you girls out there with thin, sensitive skin. Look into creamy, milky cleansers that don’t require you to rinse them off with harsh tap water. L’Occitane makes Ultra Comforting Cleansing Milk ($22, loccitane.com), and other brands have versions as well. And stay tuned to future issues of Latina where I’ll be exploring other skin care issues like rosacea and hyperpigmentation (a.k.a. manchas, chicas!).

I love that you are exploring the special skin conditions that Latinas are prone to like extra pigment, redness and acne. I am a Latina dermatologist and would love to help give tips for your readers.
Sunscreen with titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide is the key in preventing manchas and needs to be worn every day. Even the light through your car window will make the sides of your face turn blotchy.
There are some great bleaching products available and lasers that target brown spots and fine wrinkles.
