Cover Critique Week: Penelope Cruz
Hola chicas! It’s day two of Cover Critique Week here at Color Me Glam, and today we’re coveting Penelope Cruz’s smoldering glam-next-door look on August’s W magazine. If Angelina Jolie hasn’t already inspired you to try black liquid eyeliner, maybe this shot of Penelope will. But what I really love is the pairing of the cat eye with a soft matte pink lip. Knowing when to gloss and when not to gloss is a subtle, un-applauded art; here, a glossy pout would have pushed the whole look over the edge. A sweet wash of a shade like L’Oreal Color Riche lipstick in Pink Lady ($8.95, drugstore.com) is more than sufficient.

Ms. Cruz is definitely a true example of what a Latina is! Absolutely gorgeous and subtly sensuous.
I typically am not a big fan of pink + Penelope typically does her reds well, but I like this look for her + her skin tone + hair color.
