Hola chicas! I am so very excited to begin my first ‘Cover Critique Week’ here at Color Me Glam! Not only am I psyched to dish on the makeup, fashion and overall images, but I’m most proud to say that between the months of August and September, we have five fabulous Latinas gracing the covers of five different magazines (not counting our own Latina magazine covers, claro, which are beyond comparison anyways. Heehee).

First up for this ah-mah-zing honor: Eva Mendes on the cover of Interview. Um, yeah; hot with a capital ‘Hhhhhhot.’ Normally, I think girls look prettier with their hair dry, as opposed to sopping wet, but if you’re gonna go with the slick-and-shiny look, this is how you do it. Want a similar photo op? Try putting Smashbox Hybrid 2 in 1 Color & Shine Gloss (yes, lip gloss) on your eyelids ($19, smashbox.com). It’s this watery, shiny gold-flecked gloss that leaves the sexiest wet finish. Not the most practical of makeup tricks, but that’s not exactly what we’re going for here, is it?
