With just one week left before MTV reveals the five new members of Menudo on the season finale of “Making Menudo” (Tuesday, November 20 at 3:00pm), I got my hands on free downloads of the group’s first single in both English and Spanish. They’re called “More Than Words (A E I O U)” and “Mas Que Amor (A E I O U),” and while the songs might not win the boys a Latin Grammy next year, they’re damn catchy and bound to generate some Top 40 radio heat.

I hear that the final five are working overtime in the studio and have so far recorded more than 30 songs to choose from for their album debut. That hardcore work ethic is a sign of good things to come. I’ll be interviewing the new members on the day they’re revealed to the public, so be sure to check back for my exclusive chat with the boys about their instant fame and how they’ll live up to the legacy of the greatest boy band ever.
