Chart Watch: Santana Still Moves the People (and Units)
Carlos still has the black magic touch. The yoga-loving rocker’s best-of collection, Ultimate Santana, debuted at #8 on The Billboard Top 200 charts, selling 56,475 copies. I’m not sure if this is proof that Santana is still relevant or simply that our parents are the only people buying records these days, but hopefully it’s a little of both.
Ultimate Santana includes all of Carlos’s biggest hits, plus three new tracks—the one that piqued my interest the most is “This Boy’s Fire,” which randomly features Jennifer Lopez and Baby Bash. Honestly, though, who isn’t an unlikely guest on a Santana album at this point?
