masd.jpgOver 10 years ago, Madonna, shopped the concept of a fragrance called Holy Water to several perfume houses. To her dismay they were a little cool to the idea of the concept; plus a hefty $10 million up-front fee the mono-named star wanted. Today, however, with celebrity fragrances coming out faster than a bootleg version appears of their latest project, it’s no wonder the Material Girl has, according to WWD, reportedly inked a deal for $120 million with Live Nation to license her name for merchandising projects, which could include fragrance. But with so many fragrances coming out and so many celebrity scents (read Sam Vlado, associate beauty editor’s blog about Usher and P.Diddy’s fragrance parties) currently on the market, we can’t help but wonder: Are you sick of celebrity scents? And if so, would you still buy a fragrance with Madonna’s name on it? Take our poll.
